Here is a picture of our most recent client and his dog. The dog's name is Moose, and he is an excellent learner. I have found that a chocolate with great hunting/retrieving ability is a rare find, and Moose is just that. He has so impressed me that I hope to purchase a puppy from the same breeding soon!

If you want to have your dog trained at Sandy Creek Kennel you can call us at 903-271-DOGS or email me at wade@sandycreekkennel.com

We had a great hunting trip on December 26th. We killed 7 Teal(6 drakes, 1 hen), 1 Ross goose, 5 Snows, and 8 Speckled Bellies. Enjoy the pics!

Here is a photo from a good friend, and he is a client. He was given this pup about one year ago. The dogs name is "Moss" because the dog is 3/4 champion lab and 1/4 red heeler. The name Moss is derived from the fact that the dogs fur/coat looks like pond moss. Mossy Oak camo has a new meaning for this dog. Who needs a camo vest when you already look like pond moss. The dogs owner is an avid hunter and has been very pleased with Moss' performance.

"A picture of Moss last weekend. He did good. He got every bird he saw. I need to get him to retrieve a second bird any advice."

Here is a father&son and grandfather&grandson story that was recently emailed to me. By the way, the deer that Trey killed(trey was only 11 at the time) is a big beautiful buck. Many hunters hunt all of their lives and never kill a deer like that! Nice job, and thanks for emailing me the photos!

The Pigs are from The Martin Ranch in Llano County, 10/27/07. The 100 pound boar hog was shot by Trey Jordan at 6:55 p.m., with a Ruger 7x57, 7mm rifle from 191 yards right in the ear. The 60 pound hog was shot by Trey at 7:05 p.m. from 138 yards, once again right in the ear hole.

The Buck was taken over the Thanksgiving Holiday, 2006, at San Cristobal Ranch, in Star County, San Isidro, TX with the same Ruger 7x57, 7mm rifle from 85 yards. This was Trey’s first Whitetail and it was taken with his Grandpa in the stand with him on his Grandpa’s ranch. The Buck was a typical 10 point and scored 144 B & C. It is going to be tough for Trey to top that one! The best part about it was that Trey & his Grandpa were able to experience that together!

Hey,
I just wanted to make a correction. I am very proud of the fact that I now live in the town of Bellville TX! We are 30 minutes west of Katy off of I10. I actually live in the town, not on the outskirts like many of those who claim to be bellvinians!

I heard and saw a beautiful sight this morning! There were about 20 snow geese flying directly over the top of my house. With the beautiful sound of the snows I know that hunting season is near. In fact, my son Caleb turned one year old today! Wow, I can't wait to take him in the duck blind. Season opens on Saturday morning, and maybe, if all works out, I will be able to kill a duck with him on the day of his very first birth day party.

Don't for get that this website is open to all the hunters of Texas for posting pictures and stories of your kill. Just email the picture and the story to me and I will put it up for all to see. This is a great way for you to show your skill to anyone, anywhere in the world.

God bless and good hunting!

Sandy Creek Kennel has relocated!!!

Did you know that I have moved to Houston? Yes, about 30 minutes outside of Katy, TX. If you know anything about waterfowling you know that Katy is one of the hottest holes in Texas. I can’t wait to start hearing about all of your amazing hunting action. Please send your hunting pictures and stories my way and we will get them posted on the bragging board!

I hope you have all had a wonderful Dove, Early Teal, and Archery season!
